Alright Loves!! Treatment 11 Today!!
View below for a Recap of The First 10! & Here are Answers to 2 main Questions I Receive…
1. Why Radiation? Radiation was always apart of my treatment plan…and primarily because the cancer had already spread to my skin and lymph nodes. The Plan for me was to always Begin Chemo First to Shrink the cancer/tumor to do Full Breast Mastectomy to Remove It and to follow up w/Radiation to for our understanding “make sure they got it all” and primarily from the skin and lymph nodes! I Say to Remove Any “Crumbs Left Over from the Cookie”
2. Why Photon vs Proton Therapy? Proton Therapy I believe is better when it is Targeted to a Specific Tumor Area…Im not Targeting a Tumor because After my Mastectomy the Tumor is gone. My Target is my entire Left Breast Skin & Lymph Nodal Area…In which I believe is best for Photon Therapy And not that Proton couldn’t do that… it Just made more sense for me to stay where I was for treatment because we were looking at the same regimen for treatment in my case either way… and Let Me Just Say GBMC @gbmchealthcare continues to be the Best Decision By Far God Made For Me!! I am more Fatigued Now than Usual! To add to other side effects Headaches! I’ve loss Finger and Toe Nails from Chemo! I still deal with delayed thought & speech! Cant hear the best at times! A Shot Memory! & Neuropathy Still!!
And I Am Most Thankful You Still Cant Just Look At Me & Tell Any Of It!! So Just Be Kind!! Because You Can Never Really Tell What Anyone Is Truly Going Through!!
